Erica Sigurdson

With over thirty appearances on CBC Radio’s smash-hit The Debaters, a special on The Comedy Network and a televised performance at Just For Laughs, Erica Sigurdson has a resume as impressive as it is long. Within two years of first stepping on stage, Erica performed at the Winnipeg Comedy Festival and caught the eye of CBC producers. They asked her to return the next year and appear at Ha!ifax ComedyFest. She has performed at both festivals numerous times, as well as CBC’s StandUp in Kandahar. In 2005, Erica caught the attention of CTV’s comedy division and landed her first gig writing for television. She has written on numerous projects, including CBC’s Mr D. A kid with a speech impediment until 8 (it pops up wandomly) and a chronic bed wetter until much later, it’s no wonder Erica found stand-up comedy was the career for her. She was tempted to write a clever pun about bedwetting and dry humour, but thankfully, she resisted.

Erica appears at the All Star Show and Gala of Laughs Finale.
